1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember preferences, measure performance and, in some cases, deliver personalised content.

2. How Webs.ie Uses Cookies

We use cookies sparingly and with intent. You can accept, decline or fine-tune categories through the cookie preferences panel at any time.

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function — session integrity, security, fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics (optional): anonymised traffic and behaviour data via Google Analytics, used to understand which sections are valuable and where we can improve.
  • Marketing (optional): we do not run advertising cookies by default. If that ever changes, you will see a specific opt-in.

3. Your Choices

  • Use the on-site preferences panel at any time via the "Cookies" link in the footer.
  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies.
  • Use private/incognito mode to prevent persistent tracking.

Disabling strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google Analytics — measurement and aggregate reporting.
  • CookieBrain — the consent management panel we display.
  • Cloudflare — technical cookies for security and performance.
  • Stripe — set only on checkout flows for fraud prevention.

5. Retention

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies typically expire within 13 months, after which you will be asked to renew consent on your next visit.
